1Backyard orchard inventory generator
Create a tree register with cultivar, rootstock, planting date, position and source. Add up to 30 trees and export the record for next season.
This is an inventory, not a planting-spacing prescription or an identification certificate. Record Unknown when a clone or cultivar is not documented.

How to use this template
- Name the orchard and date the inventory. Choose a numbering system you can also put on physical labels.
- Add each tree’s cultivar, rootstock clone, planting date, row or position and source notes. Use Add tree, duplicate or reorder controls as needed, then check for accidental duplicate IDs.
- Download CSV for a spreadsheet, print a field copy, and save JSON to keep editing this template. Make a new dated backup when the planting changes.
A useful record, not invented evidence
An older tree can still have a useful record: tree A-102, row A/position 2, cultivar Unknown and rootstock Unknown. A stable location and ID are more useful than assigning an unverified variety name. The example trees are not observations from this site.
Questions about this generator
Does this draw an orchard map?
No. It records row and position as text. Use the orchard spacing calculator for its stated geometric planning scope; this register does not prescribe planting distances.
Can I keep more than 30 trees?
Each project is limited to 30 records. Split a larger planting into named blocks and keep separate JSON files; CSV exports can be combined in your own spreadsheet.
Will entries survive closing the tab?
Save JSON for a portable backup, or explicitly enable device drafts and check the saved status. Device drafts can be restored in this browser, but they are not synchronized and can be lost when browser data is cleared.
Keep your editable copy
Save project (JSON) retains your fields and design choices. Optional device drafts are off by default: if enabled, valid edits are saved only in this browser, with explicit Restore and Delete controls. There is no server-side account or cross-device sync. Browser data can be cleared, so keep a downloaded JSON backup and avoid device drafts on shared computers. Leave warnings depend on browser support and are not a backup.
An HTML or PDF download is a presentation copy. When you load a file, it is read in your browser, not uploaded. Layouts adjust to your content. Long entries may use more than one printed page; check the browser print preview and choose the matching A4 or Letter paper size. Template changes preserve your entries.
